Cookie Policy

1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include pixels and local storage. They let a site recognise your device, remember preferences, or track how a site is used.
2. Our approach
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. Apart from strictly necessary cookies, we use one kind: Google Analytics, which tells us how many people visit and which pages they use. It is off until you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. Until then, nothing from Google Analytics loads and no analytics cookies are set.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.
3. The cookies we use
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Expires | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cc_cookie | Thrifty Web Design | Remembers your cookie choice | 6 months | Strictly necessary |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits from different browsers apart | 2 years | Analytics, only if you accept |
| _ga_FWQNBG6V8Y | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years | Analytics, only if you accept |
When you submit our contact form, it is delivered by our provider (Web3Forms), which processes your message but does not place advertising or tracking cookies on your device. Our hosting provider (Hostinger) may set strictly necessary cookies needed to serve and secure the site.
We load our fonts from Google Fonts. This sets no cookies, but your browser sends your IP address to Google to fetch the fonts.
4. Changing your mind
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, we stop Google Analytics and delete its cookies.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your experience, though blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our use of cookies or the law changes. The "last updated" date shows when it was last revised.
